
Sara Brandspigel, MPH, is a seasoned public health professional known for her extensive work in injury prevention and community health initiatives. With a strong background in both research and practice, she has dedicated her career to developing and implementing evidence-based strategies that enhance safety and well-being in communities.
Sara currently serves as the Assistant Director of Research Operations for Violence Intervention Support Technology + Action at Purdue and Managing Director of the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research. She previously served as Director of Outreach at the University of Colorado Injury and Violence Prevention Center. She has led projects that address a wide range of issues from child maltreatment prevention to suicide prevention, with a commitment to upstream approaches.
She holds a BA in sociology from Wesleyan University and an MPH in maternal and child health from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health.
