New article: “Names Matter”

AJPH published a new editorial in the January edition of the journal, “Names Matter: Affirming our Commitment to Equity in Publishing,” by Heather M. Brandt PhD, Laura M. Schwab-Reese PhD, MA, Casper Voyles PhD, MPH, M. Aaron Guest PhD, MSW, MPH, and Amy Hagopian PhD, MHA.

In the article, VISTA Director Laura Schwab Reese and co-authors propose a new policy for authors who wish to have their name change reflected in the prestigious journal.

Developed in collaboration with the AJPH Editorial Board and the LGBTQ Health Caucus, this new approach addresses a gap in the journal’s policies and practices that was inconsistent with its commitment to inclusivity.
